We keep this policy short and honest because our data practices are deliberately minimal. This page explains what we collect when you use katitisecurity.com, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
01Who this covers
This policy applies to the website at katitisecurity.com, operated by Katiti Security, based in Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles. It covers visitors to the site and people who contact us or use the tools we provide here. Client engagements are governed separately by the confidentiality and data terms in the signed agreement for that work.
02What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you and run the site.
- Contact and enquiry details. When you send us a message, we receive the name, email, and any company, role, website, and message content you choose to provide.
- Free Site ID input. When you use our free Site ID tool, we process the domain name you enter. The tool only gathers publicly available information about that domain. It does not require, and we do not ask for, an email or account.
- Basic server logs. Like any web server, ours records standard technical information such as IP address, request time, and user agent, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies on this site.
03How we use it
We use the information above to respond to your enquiry, to provide the tool you requested, to keep the site secure and available, and to prevent abuse of our services. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
04Our basis for processing
Where data-protection law applies, we process your enquiry on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a possible engagement, and we process technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and functioning.
05How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our correspondence, and no longer than necessary for that purpose. Security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security and abuse prevention, then removed or aggregated. Free Site ID lookups are cached briefly to improve performance and are not linked to your identity.
06Service providers
Our site and tools run on our own infrastructure. Where we rely on a provider for hosting or connectivity, that provider processes data only as needed to deliver the service and under appropriate terms. We do not send your personal data to external analytics or advertising networks.
07Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email contact@katitisecurity.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
08How we protect it
We are a security firm, and we hold our own systems to the standard we ask of clients. The site is served over HTTPS, data is kept to a minimum, and access to enquiry records is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect what we hold.
09Changes and contact
